Nikki & Collin`s State Park Wedding // Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Updated: Sep 23, 2019

This gorgeous couple scored the most popular 2018 wedding date in my books! October 20th was one of the most competitive days for photography coverage, yet Nikki & Collin guaranteed their dream vendors by booking early! And it all paid off as you'll see in the photos of this amazing wedding at the FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

Nikki & Collin`s love story has deep roots and started many years ago. They've been through several life changing events together and gathered strength from each other to overcome all obstacles thrown their way. Both Nikki and Collin are amazingly kind people and had a wedding party that surely matched their wonderful personalities.. From the beautiful florals to the color scheme, signage and food, every single detail reflected their retro style and honored those loved ones whom got called to heaven a little too early. This vintage outdoorsy wedding was just delightful!

Here is what the bride, Nikki, has to say about her special day:

"I started thrift store shopping right after we got engaged. I was able to hand make a lot of the decor and in return save money! Most things were put together by yours truly with the help of of my closest friends & family. The floral swag that went on the wedding arch and the fabric dowels that hung from the outside light fixtures were some of my proudest achievements. It took a lot of hard work and restless nights, but I definitely think it paid off! Music, decor, flowers, bridesmaids and flower girls' flower crowns, etc reflected my vision which was a “vintage/boho” vibe, so the old thrifts books we used as centerpieces really helped achieve that. All of the books either had a title or authors name that started with a “P”, which symbolized my new last name as Parrish. We danced our first dance together to John Prine “Inspite of ourselves”, which may not have seem to “fit” into the wedding box, and that’s EXACTLY why we chose it. To us, it represented our unconventional relationship & lifestyle together."

And here are Nikki`s kind words about our photography team which definitely made me tear up more than just a little. Photographing weddings and other milestones are my life and it makes me so happy when I connect so much with my clients.

"Again, I cannot speak highly enough of the service you and your staff provided! From the moment you arrived, I felt at ease knowing that someone I trusted and looked up to so much would guide me through the day. The game of thrones named packages is what drew me to you, but the hard work & dedication that radiants through you as not only a business owner, but as a wife & mother, is what will keep me a loyal follower and returning customer in the future! I am so honored that you are featuring our wedding in a post!"

And here is how the day went...
