Meet Sherry and Anthony!
This cool couple first contacted me in May to be their wedding photographer, which is going to happen next year at The Brickyard (Marietta, GA). I absolutely love this venue and got very excited about it. Sherry sounded super sweet on the phone and I was so glad she decided I was the best photographer for her wedding.
When we started planning their engagement session, we were unsure on how to do it since while their wedding is in the Atlanta are, they currently live in New York City. I was making my way up north to a wedding in DC, September 1st so I thought this was going to be the best time to come see them in New York and make it possible to photograph them in the city that never sleeps.
When I asked them if they had any locations in mind, they said Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO was a good option. I was so happy beacuse I LOVEEE Brooklyn!
Days before the session, I spoke to Sherry to make sure we were om the same page and she brought up the idea, she'd love to have photos in her wedding dress in NY. I was blown away by her suggestion and was even more excited to meet her and her fiancé after that. So, on September 3rd I met them at their apartment at Fifth Avenue at 5 AM to head out and enjoy the Golden Hour. We took the Subway to go to Brooklyn and it was so much fun to document this whole adventure!
I told them they could bring a 2nd outfit for the session if they'd like and both decided to do a bridal session first and them change to a more laid back look. They looked fantastic! I was concerned the bride would worry about her dress but we actually had a first look done in her lobby (photos to come soon) and she was game for everything after that!
They are such an easy going couple and we had a blast together! May can't come soon enough. Their wedding will be fun and stylish just like they are!

Oh Yeah! We almost got swept away by the river. We were far enough and all of a sudden SPLASH! Well, perils of the trade. Plus, now we have a story to tell.
The Manhattan Skyline is gorgeous! There is something about New York, no one can explain. It fascinates all of us. The city is one of the best backdrops for weddings, engagements and bridal portrait sessions.
