Susan & Brett // Historic Savannah Destination Wedding

Updated: Sep 23, 2019

Susan and Brett couldn't be more perfect for each other. This amazing Los Angeles couple decided to bring the party to Savannah, Georgia and shook the city grounds with a heartfelt ceremony followed by an incredible reception! This wedding with a classic old timey feel was officiated by a friend of the couple at the Whitfield Chapel, the same place where the bride`s parents got married 39 years ago and the reception took place at the hip South Soho Cafe.

Pre-Wedding

Brett and his groomsmen got ready at a beautiful historical home in downtown Savannah and wore customized suspenders, a gift from the groom. Drinks were flowing until the groom was ready to ready a letter from his bride and open his wedding gift, a classy Bleu de Chanel Cologne.

The First Look

It was clear Brett couldn't wait to see Susan once he just turned around and ran towards her during our First Look attempt at the Chippewa Square.

The Formals

Thanks to our First Look attempt, we were able to start working on the wedding formal portraits with family and the wedding party. The formals took place at Bethesda right near the Wormsloe State Historic Site

The Ceremony

Short and heart wrenching, the ceremony was intimate and beautiful. The forecast told us to expect rain, but the couple was blessed with a warm sunny day in Coastal Georgia.

The Reception

The guests travelled to the reception by Trolley and it was such a fun ride! We arrived at the South Soho Cafe to find the place beautifully decorated in the perfect mix of bohemian and old Hollywood style. The fare offered three flavorful meal options and the gorgeous cake was provided by Wicked Cakes.

The toasts were emotional, the first dance absolutely dreamy and the dance floor was lit with 90's top of the chart songs making it impossible not to dance the night away. It was such an amazing wedding and Saturday night as a whole in one of my top favorite cities!
