One of the reasons why I love my job is because I get to be part of real life stories like this one that might as well be a movie. This beautiful bride is dona Christina.
She is a high spirited 70 year old lady, mother of 5 (including a set of twins) and grandmother of many more. Christina has never been married before and her partner, father of her 5 children, left when they were still little and she had to be strong and brave for them all.
This gorgeous bride raised her children on her own and according to them, was never seen with anyone else since their father left. Not until now, at least.
At age 70, she finally met the love of her life. John, a caring 80 year old veteran, fell in love with Christina the moment he first heard her voice. Since then, they became inseparable. John felt he couldn't bear being away from his beloved any longer and proposed to her without thinking twice. At age 70, Christina had her very first wedding ever and now enjoys her first marriage, John's 2nd, as his first wife passed away in 2006.
You see, age is just a number. There is no right order to what happens in our lives. Everyone is worth it of love and love is just as beautiful, real and intense at any age. Seeing this two together and much they care for each other makes my heart beat a little stronger, warms up my soul and make me want to spread the news to the world.
